MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY

Middle School (grades 6-8) is a formative and challenging time in the life of a young person. The EDGE program helps teens navigate these waters in an environment that combines traditional classroom catechesis and youth ministry principles in a dynamic and community-building package. Middle School tweens and teens are encouraged to engage in their community and grow in their relationship with Jesus by discovering their Catholic faith through prayer, learning, and fun!

We are blessed to use the Holy Family Catholic School Hope building as our setting for learning. Classes will take place there unless otherwise advertised to parents. Small classroom groups are differentiated by grade level and gender for a learning experience with limited distractions.

Below is an example of what your middle schooler might experience on a Wednesday evening at EDGE.

Actual times and activities will vary:

6 pm - Gather: Classroom Icebreaker & opening prayer

6:15 pm - Proclaim: Teaching of the day's lesson with a classroom leader

6:30 pm - Small group discussion with a classroom leader

6:55 pm - Send: "Go forth" message and group prayer

7 pm - Dismissal

Complete curriculum details will be released on October 1.

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY

High School presents each young person with unique challenges and incredibly fun experiences. The IMPACT program strives to meet the varied spiritual and social needs of each teen in a way that resonates with them as individuals. We believe that quality youth ministry empowers the community to actively engage teens in dynamic and affirming ways, providing them with the tools they need to live Christ-centered lives.

Teens in the IMPACT program are encouraged to encounter God just as they are. No topic or question is off limits, and we encourage our teens to be as vulnerable and attentive to Jesus and their peers as possible. We like to have fun too! Expect something new every week as we journey together in Christ.

Below is an example of what you might experience on a Sunday evening at IMPACT.

Actual times and activities will vary:

6:00 pm - Mass ends. Meal in the PAC.

6:30 pm - Large group activity/icebreaker

6:45 pm - Proclaim: Large group testimony/summary of the day's lesson

7:10 pm - Break: Small group discussion with a Core Team leader

7:30 pm - Send: sharing, "Go Forth" message, and group prayer

7:45 pm - Praise & Worship

CONFIRMATION 2023

COME HOLY SPIRIT!

“Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiations, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.” CCC 1316
